Would you like to help the homeless in Harrogate by joining the dynamic and energetic "Lifeline Harrogate" Board of Trustees.
We are a small board who meet every two months to guide and support the CEO to manage and develop the organisation.
Our remit is to provide supported housing to those who need significant elements of care, support or supervision so we deal with the more entrenched issues that are acting as barriers to progress. Lifeline is well known in the area and referrals are constant.
A housing officer from North Yorkshire Council said ‘You really do offer a unique service for people. When we visited your houses it was clear how homely you make them and the amount of support that is on offer.”
We are looking for more than one trustee, but a single volunteer would be welcome, subject to a simple interview process.
Our quest is simply for someone who is a practicing Christian, with an interest in helping the homeless, and is willing and able to positively contribute ideas and opinions to matters relating to the management and development of the organisation.
We are a well-established (13 years old) local charity with a significant and ever increasing following and support (albeit we are positively working to increase both), which meet all required governance standards, and are financially stable. So, any likely incumbent trustee will be joining a robust and developing organisation, rather than a struggling operation.
Trustee liability, should it be a concern, is limited to only £10.00, in accordance with our Company and Charity registrations and associated documents.
